Dear friend:
We’ve missed you!
DivorceCare was once an active, fruitful ministry at your church. I’d like to share a simple strategy that will help you create momentum to start a full DivorceCare program this coming January.
Here’s the idea in a nutshell:
- Schedule a DivorceCare Surviving the Holidays seminar in the weeks before
Thanksgiving.
- Promote the event throughout your community.
- Invite people who attend your Surviving the Holidays seminar to return in January
for a full session of DivorceCare.
Why is this strategy so effective?
- You are offering help at the time of year when separated and divorced people hurt
most deeply. Many are actively looking for ways to survive the upcoming holiday
season.
- The Surviving the Holidays seminar is a single 2-hour session. It does not require a
full 13-week commitment by people who attend.
- Those who do come to your Surviving the Holidays seminar see the value of the
DivorceCare format. Many will be interested in participating in a full
DivorceCare program.
We make it really easy for your church to offer this event. Our Surviving the Holidays kit includes a DVD video, Leader’s Guide, and special participant workbooks. Learn more and order this innovative resource at our special Surviving the Holidays website.
We’d love to answer any questions you may have. Our telephone and email contact information can be found below.
It would be a joy to once again support your church in ministry to the brokenhearted.
Thanks and blessings,
